The case was filed by Aryan Changrani (9c) and Mehek Dyalini (9c) who believed class prefect elections were bias and they were challenged by Dinili Vernita (9c) and Murtaza Barkara (9b) who believed that the elections were fair.
Both the prosecution and defense fought very well, proved their points with selected witnesses and detailed evidences. |
The defense, which as their side suggests, defended the integrity of class prefect elections by arguing that popular people who are normally more outgoing know what the students need and want, they also discussed that a badge is an object and losing the badge doesn't
mean the prefect isn't able to be responsible. |
The jury consisted of 10 students carefully chosen from the DSCA Committee and the
honorable judge, Rhema Bhamburkar of Year 10. After the two sides said their closing statements, the jury members and the judge were sent to a class away from the auditorium (where the case was held) to deliberate on the arguments and vote for the side they thought was right. After 15 minutes of discussion, the judge announced to the court that the prosecution had won the case. |
